Fill in the blanks

September 27, 2011 at 6:04 pm (Uncategorized)

I can’t believe it’s been more than a year since I posted here. I guess I was too involved with shooting and Facebook and just let this go.

About a month ago, I had to have my right knee replaced, arthritis wore away all the cartilage. The operation went well, but i picked up a nasty infection and it’s taken almost three weeks to get rid of it. Now I can concentrate on doing my knee therapy and trying to get back to work.

Here are some pictures from a shoot I did in June with one of my favorite models. Hard to believe she was 5 months pregnant when I took these. Not a hint of a belly, only her breasts are a bit larger.

Another Snow Story

February 15, 2010 at 3:50 am (Uncategorized)

Last weekend, DC caught the brunt of a serious snow storm. It rolled in Friday evening and snowed through Saturday night. Sometimes it was so strong that we got three inches per hour. When it was done, there was 26 inches of snow on the ground and drifts even higher.

I had scheduled a shoot with a traveling model from Chicago for Sunday, and had my doubts that she could get here. We traded messages on Saturday and she said the roads were passable in PA where she was, and that she thought she could make it to my place. I spent most of Sunday morning clearing half the driveway so she could park, and she drove up right on time at 1:00 pm.

We spent the next few hours shooting lingerie and latex outfits. She did an excellent job with hair and MU, changing it for each different wardrobe. I tried using some smaller strobes in the bedroom and I’m happy with the way they worked.

Sometimes Snow is a good thing

February 10, 2010 at 11:33 pm (Uncategorized)

and sometimes it really foils your plans.

A few weeks ago I was in contact with a local model, a girl from the Ukraine, who wanted to shoot some glamour style images. Cute face and figure, and great skin so I agreed to shoot on a Saturday. Friday night, it starts to snow and by the morning there is about 6 inches on the ground. We trade messages for a while and then agree to reschedule as she doesn’t feel comfortable driving in the snow. No problem.

However, I also have a shoot scheduled on Sunday with a model I worked with a few years ago. She has taken a break to have two little girls, bur wants to get back into modeling. She wants some edgy shots and to try some latex outfits. I’m afraid the snow will keep her from coming because there was more snow where she lives.

Hoping that she will arrive,  I’m out shoveling the driveway when she calls to let me know she is on the way. Arrives right on time and looks great. She had some tattoos before, and some new ones today. She has a sort of Tribal design around her hips, and even after having two children, there isn’t a stretch mark to be seen.

She has a cute Ed Hardy style hoodie she wants to shoot in, a bikini and then we will try a latex dress.  She was a little rusty on posing, but I don’t shoot very fast, so it worked out fine.

I love beautiful tattoos

February 2, 2010 at 2:35 am (Uncategorized)

I’ve been trading messages with a beautiful model in Baltimore for over a year. Our schedules just never seemed to match up. I first met her at the Baltinore tatto Convention last year.

I had gone up to shoot my friend Melody’s boyfriend who owns a tattoo shop in Silver Spring. Wandering around, I found an artist from DC who remembered the guy who did my first tattoo in 1968. Carol Nightingale worked near the greyhound Bus Terminal in a rather shady part of town. He had a chain gate over his door and you had to pay $50 just to get in. His business card read ‘The Man with the Golden Needle’. When I was in CA at Lyle Tuttle’s studio, Lyle remarked that other artists referred to Carol as the Man in a Gilded Cage.

I saw Sylvia at the Baltimore convention getting some sleeve work done and struck up a conversation. Turned out she is a part time model and likes my style. I have a semi transparent latex Skirt and bra top that I thought would look great and enable viewing of her extensive tattoo work.

Unfortunatel, while she was getting into the skirt, a seem separated and we could not use it, so I have mostly upper body shots in the trans latex and some in black and a few in purple. We are already thinking about a reshoot when I get the skirt back from Paris.

When I was uploading these pictures, I found a folder with older images I haven’t posted before, looks like I have a lot of editing to do with yesterdays shoot and another next Sunday.

Military Latex

January 23, 2010 at 11:50 pm (Uncategorized)

I shot a while ago with my friend Betty Jaded when she drove up from Florida last summer. She just got settled into her new home and asked for some pictures from our shoot. She picked some different ones from mine so I finised off all of them this morning.

She brought a pretty cream coloered latex robe to and we added a fishnet body suit under it. Shoot was a lot of fun. I enjoy her company and her friend William who travels with her.

Visit from a Texas Beauty

November 22, 2009 at 7:36 pm (Uncategorized)

I have wanted to shoot with Liz Ashley for quite a while, but she usually shoots in Texas, her home base, or the West coast. We have traded messages before and I told her to keep me in mnd if she decided to travel to the East Coast.

She gave me some dates, and I picked one that worked for me. We had discussed concepts and MU and she assured me that she was an accomplishe MUA.

It’s amazing how ordinary most models look when they first arrive. The generally come with no MU and after we decide what we will shoot, they  go to work. Liz does have natural beauty, but when she came out with the first look, I was really impressed. We had decided to shoot some lingerie on silver satin sheets and I experimented with some portable flash units rather than the larger strobes. Everything worked quite well and than we switched out to the main shooting area for some latex shots.

Since she hadn’t shot in latex before, I had to help her into several outfits. She has a wonderful figure and looked great in the skin tight latex.

Last Chance

August 23, 2009 at 1:10 am (Uncategorized)

One of the models I started shooting with in April is scheduled to move to NY for a year while attending FIT for fashion merchandising. I had scheduled a shoot with her and a really good MUA that both of us like for a Sunday morning at the beginning of August.

Carrie arrived a few minutes early and we talked and laughed while waiting for Crystal. 10:00 came and went with no Crystal. We tried texting and calling but she wasn’t answering or returning messages. After about an hour we gave up because Carrie hadn’t brought any MU and I don’t stock any. Neither of us have heard from Crystal in over three weeks although she has been on her myspace page since then.

Fortunately, Carrie really wanted to do the shoot, and managed to move another shoot around to give us another Sunday morning to work. I asked my friend Kim to come and do MU and hair and fortunately, she was available.

We started out with some swimsuits, and Carrie looks really cute. I’m not crazy about them, I guess I’m spoiled by shooting swimsuits in the Carri bean. It’s difficult to make them seem great in a studio.

Then we shot is a silver outfit I had gotten from another model and some designer hologram leggings. Carrie looked great in 4″ platform heels.

Last we shot in a small, purple latex dress with some black heels and then white ballet heel boots. The last ones had to be done sitting down as it’s almost impossible to walk in those heels.

California girl pays a visit.

August 12, 2009 at 12:49 am (Uncategorized)

A model who I have exchanged messages with for over a year finally decided to make a short tour of DC and NY. Engel is six feet tall and slender, with short hair and a great face. Since she isn’t any good with MU, I had my friend Kim come over and help us out.

Since she is tall, I wanted to try shooting my posture collar that wound up being too tall for Steph to wear. Kim did an interesting little design on Engel’s cheek and we shot a few like that. The collar fit beautifully and she looked great. Then we tried a few in my only real corset, and combined it with a KVO Designs necklace and a red latex skirt. The straps proved a little short, but gave an interesting look off her shoulders.

I have an interesting red and white fabric collar that we tried too, but I’m not as happy with that look. We switched out of that one pretty quickly and used  my green latex collar from France and the pasties that came with it. Engel is primarily an art/nude model, so I warned her that we wouldn’t be shooting anything past this style.

Lastly, I had an idea for a SteamPunk style shot. I have a cool pair of goggles and an interesting old electronic tester that I paired with my iPod earphones. a cute little white ruffled blouse completed the look. We decided to try some different face MU and Engel suggest some gears. We showed Kim a picture and she drew some beautiful gears on Engel’s face in silver and gold.

Altogether it was a rewarding shoot.

Updates

July 24, 2009 at 2:22 am (Uncategorized)

I’ve been so busy shooting that I haven’t posted in a while, so I have new images to post.

When I shot Victoria, Steph was here too and we shot till late that night, even after my MUA, Kim, had gone home. It turned out that a couple of outfits didn’t fir Steph well and we had to scramble to find things that worked.

Kim did a really good job with the MU and we shot a latex posture collar firs. It was a small sixe, but it was still a bit too tall for Steph’s neck. Then we shot with a reall, steel boned corset. Unfortunatel, I didn’t shoot enough full lenth shots to really show off her curves, more next time.

Then we grabbed the latex bra and panty from my favorite designer, HMS Latex in Paris, and Steph looke awesome in it. With the lighting and post processing, the plum color came out looking like a candy apple.

Second Visit

May 23, 2009 at 6:07 pm (Uncategorized)

Recently, Victoria came back to DC for a second time to work with some local photographers that missed her on her last visit. She is always a fun house guest and has a spreadsheet of her shoots and times all mapped out when she arrives.

We planned to shoot on Friday evening, but I didn’t have a specific theme in mind. I asked her what she would like to shoot and she replied that she wanted some lingerie glamour shots for her portfolio. It seems that most other photographers wat to shoot nudes with her, but she wanted some diversity in her on line portfolio.

We found a cute little bra and thong in a green color that looked great on her. Some gold satin sheets and we were ready to roll. I like to play around with lighting, and we got what we both think are pretty good shots. Her hair is longer since her last visit and really looked good.
